●Gatebox Video QR code is not being read

  • Depending on your environment, the QR code from Gatebox Video may be difficult to read.

    Please try the following operations, and if that doesn't solve the problem, please contact Gatebox owner support with your specific problem.

    • Increase the brightness of your smartphone display

    • The border displayed on the QR code reading screen is a rough estimate, so please try moving the QR code closer or farther without worrying about the border

    • If you press and hold the Gate button for a long time, it will restart the reading operation. So, try doing that and attempt to read the QR code again.

    • Try enlarging the QR code displayed on your smartphone screen.

    • Check that the screen in front of the camera on the Gatebox device is clean. If it is dirty, please wipe it with a soft cloth

    • If the room is dark, lighten up the room and try

●Update fails

  • If the error "UPDATE FAILED CODE106" is displayed
    If the above error is displayed during the initial setup of your Gatebox, the download of the update has failed due to a network communication error.

    Please try the following operations one by one, and if the update is still not successful, please contact Gatebox owner support with your specific problem.

  1. Press and hold the power button on the back of your Gatebox device for about 12 seconds to turn it off. After your Gatebox has turned off, press the power button again to turn it on and follow the instructions on the screen and try again (rest assured that restarting will not affect your data)

  2. Your Gatebox device may be too far from your wireless router to maintain a stable connection.
    If possible, please move your Gatebox as close to the router as possible during the update

  3. Check that there are no household appliances (TVs, microwave ovens, and the like) that may interfere with the radio wave between your Gatebox device and the wireless router. If there are any, try turning them off during the update.

  4. If you live in an apartment building, try different times when the network is not expected to be congested

  5. Check the bandwidth of your wireless connection
    If you use "2.4 GHz, " please try to set it to "5 GHz" (a and g may be displayed.)


  1. Turn off the power of the wireless router

  2. Press and hold the power button on the back of your Gatebox for about 12 seconds and allow the device to turn off. Then press the power button again to turn it back on

  3. When connecting to the network fails, it will switch to the QR reading screen

  4. Turn on the wireless router, so it is available to connect to

  5. Sign in to your Gatebox's “Device Management System” with your smartphone

  6. Press the 「Registration new Gatebox」 button and switch to the “Wireless LAN” settings screen. Enter the SSID and password, for the connection on the new band, to generate a QR code

  7. Read the QR code with your Gatebox device and run the initial setup and update
